Maple Story too big?

Hi, its the global maple story freak, again! :)

I got a new computer lately. Best performance I could find. Turned out really sweet I must say. So, of course, I had to get maple global on it.

I looked for the installation files on my other computers, and searched through my thousand CDs, but no use. I couldn't find it. So I fired up FireFox, used the way I mentioned on this post http://mapleglobalhack.blogspot.com/2006/12/mapleglobalcom-and-ie-only.html and looked for a download link.

Found it, and was hoping it'll launch but got the crippling page which I didn't wanna see. The hideous which download type page. So it tells you to either download maple global on one single .exe or 20 .rar files!

So, I paused for a bit, trying to comprehend the what the hell swarming in my mind. I finally realized that it was plain cough* stupid *cough. So I either download a half giga at once or download 20 files, then put them all into one? Tough luck!

I ended up downloading the .exe. Which, because I was obviously hitting at a prime, slow to death or something of that sort.

Anyways, just thought I'd give you guys a heads up! Bye now ;).

Mmkay. I like to use the
"$(something)" as a function that returns the revenue of this certain "something".

So, just thought I'd give you a guys a small bit of intel I got,

As of Feb. 2006, Wizet ( Maple Global) has generated 200 million USD from the game service in Korea. Wizet received 110 million USD for licensing the games to other parts of the world.

MapleGlobal.com and IE Only

Anyone that is a regular user/vistor of MapleGlobal.com has certainly noticed that they only allow Internet Explorer browsers into their site. So, now we KNOW that FireFox can do some damage if its allowed inside their site. So, we wanna exploit it, right??

Here's an old trick from an old book, the User-Agent switcher plugin for FireFox. When you call any page on the internet, you include a "User-Agent" in the header. This is used to identify which browser you're using.

IE's user-agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
FireFox's user-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9

So, this plugin lets us change this User-Agent header.. After you've installed it, click on the Tools menu, User-Agent Switcher -> Internet Explorer...

And there you have it, access to Maple Story's MapleGlobal.com using FireFox.
